10 reasons I hate the Secret life of the American teenager
2. They tried to say by giving a 15 year old girl the pill it will make sex seem more real, Real in the sense that she realizes its not just something to talk about but in fact something she wants to wait for and by holding the pill knows she wont do it.... WHAT B.S. By giving her the freaking pill you are saying "HEY your 15 but if you have sex its alright at least you can be doubly safe." When her parents are devout christians to begin with and NO DEVOUT CHRISTIAN would ever give their daughter the pill to begin with. This was in fact a poorly written part of the show and completely unrealistic and feeds children with nonsense ideas about the pill and what abstinence is really all about.
3. That brings me to point number three. Although the show glorifies teen pregnancy and basically makes it seem almost alright you know it really doesn't want kids to think this. At the end they talk about, "talking to your kids about safe sex" or what not. We all know the safest sex is in itself abstinence until marriage. So why would you not at any point in this show preach abstinence, they preach about using condoms, they preach about the pill, the only one time they say don't do it the christian girl does it anyway. Great lesson ABC family.
4. When the fat rich man brings his hooker of a fiance home for sex he talks to his son about how he loves her and than asks to borrow a condom, when your 15 year old son opens a drawer full of condoms and you simply take one or two and don't talk to him you have an issue. Especially when that son says "hey I am an optimist." UH your 15 freaking years old. I didn't even buy condoms till I was 17 almost 18 let alone ever talk to my parents about such things. You should not be optimistic about having sex at 15 there is no way a parent should be okay with that. When your girl friend just gave birth why would you want to have sex with her? She already has one kid why risk another. This father is an idiot because he did not sit down and explain condoms are not worth it they only work 82% of the time and the only safe sex is abstinence. Once again telling 15 year olds its okay to have sex.
5. The whole divorce thing. I understand they are getting divorced and I know people start dating once this happens but to have the mom get pregnant before she is even divorced was just retarded. You basically told Americas youth although 50% of marriages end in divorce now that once you decided you are doing this its alright to move on start dating and become sexually active outside your marriage. There is no way that is ethically or morally right. It also adds nothing good to the plot it simply just makes me want to slap this woman in the face.
6. PLUS WTF was she doing having sex on the first date?!??!?! your 15 year old daughter just had a kid, sure you are in your 50's (according to her mother) and sure you are about to be divorced but sex on the first date is sleazy as hell. Plus it was illogical and irresponsible.
7. This show degrades the words "I love you." I would like to state these words should only leave someone's mouth if you are saying to someone and you can Look into their eyes at any moment and know you would do anything to keep them in your life under any possible circumstances and would without even blinking give your life to save theirs. Thus these words should almost never leave a high schoolers mouth let alone anyones before a minimum of 6 months of being together if not longer. Now apparently Ben or w.e. he is named loves Amy and he is 15. I don't think any fifteen year old can fathom for ever let alone what love truly means. Her mom is in love with the architect after only a few dates... what was it two? seriously...
8. There is no way Ricky would have been able to stop Amy from giving away the baby. That was just B.S. They are both underage he is not emancipated the parents, mainly hers could have gotten the right to put the baby up for adoption. Even if he tried to fight it they could have gone to court and she would have won since it is her having the baby and her burden. I am sorry that was just crappy writing and a poor way for the writers to make her keep the baby.
9. The sister? seriously... I understand when your sister is having a baby you might get away with a lot but your 13 supposedly yet everyone comes to you for advice and you have the maturity of a 55 year old. You have not friends and dress in dark clothes but apparently are not emo and don't cut yourself. Your get to skip school when ever you want. You even get to "smoke" even though you really don't and your parents don't care. There is no way that is realistic at all it is just adding to the unrealistic characters in this show that embody why most people hate America because they actually think american teenagers are like this. Her character is terribly written for a 13 year old and seriously needs to be slapped. Plus she shows NO emotion EVER.
10. The Rich girl? seriously I understand her mom is a flight attendant so she is never home but who really leaves a 16 year old girl home alone that often. When her dad finally stood up and took a fatherly roll and stopped her from having sex she resented him, which is normal but the show made him out to be the bad guy. Wow shouldn't he be the hero for stopping her from having sex? what are we telling the 15 year olds who watch this show? If your dad wants to stop you from having sex and ruining your future he is a bad guy? Then when she tries to stop her christian friend from having sex she once again becomes the bad guy... She stays over to stop her and the show makes her seem like a bad friend... Seriously send the right message to kids even if it means less sex and using the word less than 500 times.

Legen WAIT for IT
That is what I thought of the new Transformers movie. Now aside from all the awesome military action scenes and the sexy ass 2010 Camaro, Concept Corvette, and Audi R8 there was of course MEGAN FOX. She may possibly be the hottest woman alive. After getting over how incredibly hot she was though the movie surprised me with its amazing-ness.
Although I am desperately in love with the first movie there were a few aspects it fell short on. The deceptacons had no real dialog and although the movie was "Transformers" it focused mostly on the humans which I did kind of understand. You can't really show emotions with robots without building a structure of character for them with the use of humans and their emotions interacting with them. After seeing bumblee get tied down and captured and not fight back and watching Sam try to fight of the military in the first movie the characters of bumblee and the rest of the autobots were shown to be compationet and protecting of humans.
So to see a scene of completly robots talking and fighting was awesome. To see bumblbee come into his own as a fighter was also awesome.
My favorit part was the social commentary though. Obama was mentioned early in the movie as president. It was strange to me at first since the first movie never did say Bush they just said "the president asked me to wrangle up some ding dongs" ovbiously Bush. They also used a few lines from some of Bush's speaches as lines for the military members of the movie. So when Obama's name was said I though "OH shit really... this movie is going to be a liberal glorificatoin film and it will suck." Boy was I wrong. First it has Obama appoint a man who knows nothing about NEST, Autobots, Decepticons, or any thing else of importents to a leadership possition and the military men under his new command are confused and as a whole think his judgement is flawed. When he tries to say the Autobots may be bad and bringing the fight to our doorstep I love Optomis's line when he says "If you want us to leave we will. But how about you go back to your president and ask him, What if he is wrong?"
This is something everyone should do right now. With all this spending and other actions Obama is taking ask him "what if he is wrong?" I bet if people started questioning his rediculous moves maybe he would slow down and stop before his actions put us and the rest of the free world in danger and below the poverty line or worse off, in a socialist nation.

Not cool? whacha talking about

A few weeks ago I got the new Pokemon Platinum. I now own every pokemon game made on the Gameboy system. I found two friends that also have the new version one right here at UNCW and one at my old high school. Now I bet your thinking "HA what nerds actually buy this game" yet if you met either of these guys you would never guess that every night me and them have pokemon battles. Wednesday, April 15, 2009
and so it begins

So every now and than you have those weeks you can relax. But it seems they are few and far between in college. For me they may only last a day or two than it is back to the grind. Well looking ahead I have ... none left. I don't have a Hell week at the end of of this semester.... No I get three....

Man I love college

Easter Break
So today is monday, meaning class has started once again and the long weekend has ended. Now for most people easter weekend was a great way to go home and see family and friends. I have traveled home for every long weekend and holiday thus far in college but I felt ready to be alone on one and not run home to mom and dad.
Now there were a few reasons I stayed in wilmington this break I will share a few with y'all. Now the first one was to hang with my peeps at the beach. Wednesday night and thursday morning I got to meet Lindsey Moore, Brittney's sister, (who I may have already known before but we were not facebook friends) and hang with Ellen G (no she is not a g its her last name). I have not hung out much with Mike Santry or Brittney Moore as much as I would have liked too since I got to college. We got to hit up a nice restaurant and the beach and it was a really fun time hanging out.
Now Friday got fun too. Thursday night I was informed that my bro Thomas, who is going to UNCW next year with me, was going to come down and visit and I spend Friday morning with some of my best friends from GH Thomas, Pete, Nick Blaiser, and Bradford even hit up the beach with us. I did have to cut out to go to work though.
Now saturday is where my main reason for staying came into play. My best friend in the NC D.C. Hit up the dub. Along with my sister Hoskie, aka Allie. Now she have never visited me in college up until this point so it was pretty fun to hit the beach with her and D.C.
So besides hanging at the beach with friends why did I stay in the dub for easter? Well I did get to work a good amount of hours at Harris Teeter. So hopefully come next monday I will have enough money saved up to make all my car payments for may through july. Sure that is only three months but that is $450 meaning the money I save up for the next month or so can be my summer spending money before saving up for more car payments.
Now the real reason I stayed in wilmington came into play saturday night. Self reflection. I knew I would have my room to my self and for the first time in a while without sticking myself in the library or gym or the library I could sit somewhere without someone talking to me. Now I have been at college for what 8 months now and I wanted to take some time to see if I am really the person I wanted to be when I got here. Now a lot has changed since august and my reflection came full circle with a conversation I had with Jesse saturday night. Jesse is one of my closer friends I would like to think here at the dub. He is also the only one I confide information in. He is like my Go to guy to talk too.
In the end I realized I am not completely on the track I wanted to be on and I have some work to do to get there. Starting going to church was a good first step. Getting a job and buying my first car was another step I took to being independent. I will have my own phone plan next month. But I also have other things I wanted to do when I got to college. I am truly mature in the core but for some reason I work really hard to act immature, to use "lines" to say "thats what she said" and make everything dirty. Things that would be "funny" if said maybe once every week or so but used every five minutes make me seem dumb, immature, like an attention whore, ect ect. So I think for the moment I know the path I want to take and will do my best to get there. In a few months I may be there or I may not we shell see. Nothing happens over night.
Enjoy the week to come

Remembering back 1 year, maybe 2
Every day has its history. What a great statement something that I bet everyone will read and think "well DUH." I am not sure about everyone else but at some point in the day I like to check out the internet.
For example I know that in 2007 yesterday The charges were dropped against the three duke lacrosse players. I also know on that same day in 2007 I asked out a girl and 15 minutes later one of my best friends asked out a girl just to have the same anniversary. A trent that would follow a few month later by another friend so all three of us would have the same one. Not only do these facts surprise me that I have such good friends that want to share such dates with me. It also surpsises me what you can remember for such days.
I mean I know on April 11th 2007 I ate a number one at sonic, had a power aid slush with my bro Bruno. we did this after school before going to a lacrosse game against Central Catholic. One that I had the tying goal to send the game into sudden death overtime. I remember that after my goal I pointed to the lady watching from the crowd. It is funny how if you find one moment specific enough to remember. Such as yelling across a field in a demanding voice and someone telling you later "that was one of the most attractive things I have ever seen" or something your best friend does just to have something in common with you that the whole day and even the next day will be engrained in your memory forever.
Now I am not trying to tell you about my dating life or anything I just think it is amazing how one important moment can keep so many other random facts. For example I can remember that one year ago today I went to prom. I remember everything I did before getting ready and the awesome night that endured. The whole night is remembered based on where events fell in it according to if they were before or after I lost my date for 45 minutes.
So take a moment and see if you can remember anything crazy happening in your life a few years back and if by chance you remember what you were doing that day or the following day by chance just by thinking about what happened with the crazy one. I am not sure if your memory works like mine but for me everything is based on big events.
Have a happy easter everyone

The beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair
Cause I’ve failed and I’m ready to be shown how
He’s told me the way and I’m trying to get there
And this life sentence that I’m serving
I admit that I’m every bit deserving
But the beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair

Super Sunday?
BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL
In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new voice
came over the loud speaker asking for a carry out at register 4. Kurtis was
almost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to answer the
call. As he approached the check-out stand a distant smile caught his eye, the
new check-out girl was beautiful. She was an older woman (maybe 26, and he was
only 22) and he fell in love.
Later that day, after his shift was over, he waited by the punch clock to find
out her name. She came into the break room, smiled softly at him, took her card
and punched out, then left. He looked at her card, BRENDA. He walked out only
to see her start walking up the road. Next day, he waited outside as she left
the supermarket, and offered her a ride home. He looked harmless enough, and she
accepted. When he dropped her off, he asked if maybe he could see her again,
&nb sp; outside of work. She simply said it wasn't possible.
He pressed and she explained she had two children and she couldn't afford a
baby-sitter, so he offered to pay for the baby-sitter. Reluctantly she accepted
his offer for a date for the following Saturday. That Saturday night he arrived
at her door only to have her tell him that she was unable to go with him. The
baby-sitter had called and canceled. To which Kurtis simply said, "Well,
let's take the kids with us."
She tried to explain that taking the children was not an option, but aga in not
taking no for an answer, he pressed. Finally Brenda, brought him inside to meet
her children. She had an older daughter Jessie, who was just as cute as a bug, Kurtis
thought, then Brenda brought out her son, Zachary in a wheelchair. He was born a
paraplegic with Down Syndrome.
Kurtis asked Brenda, "I still don't understand why the kids can't
come with us?" Brenda was amazed. Most men would run away from a woman
with two kids, especially if one had disabilities - just like her first husband
and father of her children had done. Kurtis was no t ordinary - - - he had a
different mindset.
That evening Kurtis and Brenda loaded up the kids, went to dinner and the
movies. When her son needed anything Kurtis would take care of him. When he
needed to use the restroom, he picked him up out of his wheelchair, took him and
brought him back. The kids loved Kurtis. At the end of the evening, Brenda
knew this was the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her life
with.
A year later, they were married and Kurtis adopted Jessie and Zachary.
; Since then Brenda and Kurtis have added five children of their own: sons
Elijah and Kade, daughter Jada, and twin girls Sierra Rose and Sienna Rae.
So what happened to Kurtis the stock boy and Brenda the check-out girl? Well,
Mr. & Mrs. Kurt Warner now live in Arizona , where he is currently employed
as the quarterback of the National Football League Arizona Cardinals and has his
Cardinals in the hunt for a possible appearance in the Super Bowl. Is this a
surprise ending or could you have guessed that he was not an ordinary person.
Both Brenda and Kurt are active born-again Christians.
It should be noted that he also quarterbacked the Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI.
He has also been the NLF's Most Valuable Player twice and the Super Bowl's
Most Valuable Player.

why conservative?
And as a consequence, they didn’t have enough ammunition, they didn’t have enough Humvees. They were actually capturing Taliban weapons, because it was easier to get Taliban weapons than it was for them to get properly equipped by our current commander in chief.”
He really made me believe he liked the military. Only it was a lie because now he is making the armed forces cut their spending by $50 BILLION. While on the other hand he wastes ONE TRILLION on condoms and hand outs to law breakers and illegal immigrants. I really do wonder how he plans on defending this nation. "HEY don't attack us we will give you free condoms" sounds like a safe plan to me.
Now you might be saying well he is better than bush? Is he really? But didn't help people in new orleans? Really do you think Bush didn't help? I saw people rushing there as soon as it struck. I saw people who were evacuated in my city of san antonio shortly after. The only reason you think Bush did not help was because the media told you so. The media made you believe Bush was this horrible person. WAIT There has been a 5 day storm in Kentucky this week. People are literally on deaths door step. Has Fema shown up? no... Has Obama done anything... no. Is the news making a big deal of it? no Because they are liberal and wouldn't want one of their kind to look bad.
I would tell you how Bush did a great job with 9/11 and the war in Iraq but if your not questioning your liberal beliefs now than you will most likely ignore that two. I really think the only people supporting this government are people living off of government money and very ignorant people. In 4 years when the only change is bad (at this point I can say it will be cause he is off to a terrible start) you will most likely still support him. I don't mind because I know the only way to fix this country is through some conservative policies and hopefully if we can survive long enough too we will fix it.
